Rescuers should try to ensure that defibrillation is not attempted in an oxygen-enriched atmosphere (e:g. when free flowing high-flow oxygen is directed across the chest).
AMBU bag & breathing circuits can be kept connected to the ETT or LMA during defibrillation. (But some rescuers disconnect the AMBU bag to prevent accidental extubations).
